My Art Interview -- and my hidden boxing past...

I just did an interview with Rondal Scott at Fuel Your Illustration.

It's an interesting interview, Rondal asked me about my past in the sport of prize fighting. I came away from boxing with more than just scars and a couple broken noses -- I learned how to be a better artist. Imagine that?

You know me, I'm always more honest than I should be -- enjoy the interview.

By the way, this drawing is one I did for Brother Bear back in 1999. Yeah, I had to dig deep into the archives for this one.

  8. Marcelo, it was great to read this interview. I remember you telling me some of these things in person so this was a good refresher. I'm off to Imaginism Studios in Oct. for their workshop to just immerse myself and BE the artist I need to be. I still have to send you some watercolors, I didn't forget. Thanks Marcelo,

  11. LOVED the interview! It's such an inspiration. (I don't have formal art training either, everything I learned has been from you, Marcos and Armand). And yes - I've been busy as all get out but I -am- having a lot of fun. And I am determined to try to get to Comic Con next year!

  23. great interview :)
it's funny I boxed too between 12-15 but it's kind of tradition in my family , my father is a retired boxer my grandfather was too so I decided to keep on family tradition despite the fact that I am girl
but I never thought this could influenced me as a artist :)
