A Varied Approach

I thought I would go ahead and post some of my old Disney stuff again. I did these drawings while doing some exploration for one of their projects back in 2000 (wow, can you believe it's going to be seven years ago!). Mind you, these two images were for the same project.

I varied my style so that the directors would have more to choose from: from the stylized, to the idealized.

Both of these were done in graphite on ledger paper. Since these were loose sketches, there was no need to polish the drawings with Prismapencil and vellum.

Your ability to present an idea in a multitude of styles is inspiring. Great stuff

Oh goodness, these are -beautiful-!

I'd love to get lost in one of these places and have an Adventure (ones with sharp pointy swords would be very welcome right now).

For those of you that can't see the pictures, I'm sorry. I changed my blog to betablogger -- and I guess they haven't worked out the bugs yet. I've noticed that it won't let me load the images at full res. I wonder if that is happening on your end too.

I suggest you download the icon onto your desktop. Then, you can open the image as you would a jpg picture file. I tried it and it seems to work on my end.

Sorry for the problem.

Hey Marcelo,

Yessir, I can take part in the jaw dropping now. Thanks for doing whatever you did to "fix" the images:)
It's pieces like these that pushes me to do better and gives me the urge to draw. I'm studying all the small details, going hmmmmm, I gotta try that. Like the water in the river etc. Amazing stuff!

Take care,

Hans
