Yet Another Dry Brush Figure Sketch

This one was drawn during a figure drawing class. This was a five minute sketch, dry brush on newsprint. The textured paper was added digitally.

Michael - That's a wonderful compliment. I wish it was that easy, I probably do that!

Trevor -- That's really something I've worked on. Drawing with weight and structure is like the tail of the elephant. You can swallow the elephant, and end up choking on the tail!

Tiffany - Thanks for the appreciation. I'm a firm believer in doing most of my figure drawing in five minutes -- eight minutes tops. The reason is anyone can render their way out of a problem (a camera or a Xerox machine does just that ... without understanding), but the question is whether we can solve those questions without relying on rendering. So, I've been working on being able to make decisions quickly. All it takes is practice.
