Another Bear...
Askel and Milky, here's another bear drawing for ya.
Haha he's so cute Marcelo! :D Makes me feel sleepy...ah, too late.
By the way, very interesting post the one with the human studies. Cool research work and drawn beautifully. I love the way you use to add informations (and I don't mean the written ones) and build stories around your drawings.
You're trying to get me to go to sleep aren't you? *grins*
Seriously though, this is beautiful. Marco's right. WEIGHT. Sleepy, heavy bear. It conveys the droop and even a snorting, snuffling sort of snore.
I'm much better now, still got remnants of a sore throat and now my modem got fried by lightning, but all in all - it's a better week than last week. :) Thank God for wireless dongles even at low strength...
This is really nice. I really enjoy the structure and the coloring. The bear looks very alive, though he's dead asleep. Great stuff, thanks for sharing!
Love it! Upon first look I was amazed at the brilliancy you achieved on newsprint with marker, then realized much is due to effective use of neutral tone next to saturated. Wonderful gesture.
I love the definate planes you can see in the design's surface, makes him look like he's got real volume , but it a very stylized, geometrical way. Pretty.

Nice to hear from you and thanks for the comment. Those boats are pretty much what's been keeping me busy the past months. I've been doing freelance for almost a year now, but have come to find out, that it's not really my cup of tea...I like the inspiration and motivation you get from working at a studio with others. That's why I'm now actively looking for jobs, preferably in Cali. How about you. Are you working on the monster movie or the Meatball movie? Hope all is well and I totally agree with Mark...You draw really good!!!
