All right ... after a few E-mails and verbal requests, I thought I would go ahead and post the entire western image. Sorry for the watermark, but I've been planning to make prints of this image and I don't want to post a high res version on the blog. However, this allows you to see the total composition.
That's certainly the idea. I'm a big fan of Marc Davis' work, he was one of Disney's Nine Old Men. Marc designed such memorable characters as malecifent, in Sleeping Beauty, and also the pirates in the Pirates of the Caribean ride. One of Marc's many talents was telling stories with just a single image. When I worked at WDI I would study his orignals ... I wanted to make that my goal.

Put me down for a print. Awesome.
Hey Marcello! Glad to find your page.
This picture is so inspiring. Really, really great.
Put me down for order for a print as well.
I love it! I started forming my own story to it the minute I looked at it.

WOW!! This is a fabulous piece. It also reminds me of some of the other imagineering guys too- like Harper Goff.

I presume you're not suffering from adhd...that picture must have taken a lot of patience!
