Postcard Roulette
I gambled and I lost. I think out of the six hand drawn postcards I mailed from Argentina, only three arrived to their destinations. Even the hand drawn postcard I mailed my daughters never made it.
They're lost into the ether of that great void between memory and imagination...or in some postman's collection.
I only had the sense to take this picture of one. I drew this while in a restaurant in Buenos Aries. I believe it was intended for Paul Wee.
Alas, what can I say, I'm an art adrenaline junky.

That is such a good caricature. Is it done in markers and pen and ink? I think the weighting of the lines and the freedom of the strokes are really really good :)
Thanks for sharing it
It's a shame you lost the others! This one looks great
Note, I just received notice that four of the six cards actually made it. I'm glad 'cause a 50/50 chance aren't good odds.
My faith has been somewhat restored in the Argentine post office.
One hand on a fork...The other on a brush pen. Its amazing when inspiration can hit. I love it.
There actually might be something there with releasing your art into the unknown, perhaps with a note and your info. Get notes from your work, from all around the world. I dont know.
Sheesh, don't they know stealing mail is a federal crime (at least in our country anyway)? I'm glad you snapped a photo of it before mailing it.
Hope it ends up in my mailbox by mistake. Fantastic drawing, Moe.
That's almost unbearable...but on the other hand also kinda fun to imagine where they might be now??? You know for sure it's somewhere and anyone who finds it, will pick it up and think...that's awesome! and be put on a wall, where it'll hang for 88 years.

I understand you very well.
It's a terrible think that the mail post company is no more a trustable service.
beautifull illu as always.
Hey Marcelo, this one is striking!
Hope you'll hear something about the rest two cards.
Thanks for linking me up. :o)

Gosh, I sure hope the other postcards magically appear at their destinations! This one is beautiful.
Yes, I would love to pick up Sketchclub again with you and the rest of the SPA crew when I get back to LA this fall! Hopefully you guys haven't moved too far.

That sucks. Would have been nice to see what the rest of em looked like! This one turned out great though my friend!
Una vez un sobre con 1 dibujo me tardo 3 meses en llegar desde USA a Bs As y otra 8 meses. Conviene siempre carta certificada con tracking number.
Wunderschön! Great caricature. Though the loss of the other two cards is sad. Oh, and I REALLY love the other blue and yellow postcard you posted some time ago. That one was beautiful.
(If you ever would like to send me a postcard I can mail you my adress :) ...)
