CALGARY COMIC EXPO
I've been invited to the
Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo in Canada this weekend. So, if you're in the area, or are making the trip, please come by and say hello.
I'll be at the Expo talking about animation related topics, such as Creating a Portfolio, on Saturday April 24th. And then on Sunday, April 25th, I'll be talking about Character Design for Animation.
Most of all, I'll be walking around enjoying the Expo and meeting all of you.

Wow! sounds like you're going to have a VERY busy weekend. Wish I could be there to hear those talks, great topics, ones you can never hear enough on. Have a safe and wonderful trip! Maybe take a couple pictures with a travel size camera hehe. :]
This is such a crazy weekend for arts! I think there's about 4 festivals on this weekend in LA and looks like Canada is not exception - have fun ^_^
Hey Marcelo, I'm an illustrator based out of Calgary and I can't wait to get the chance to meet you! You're interview with Bobby Chiu was very inspirational and I'm sure your talk about portfolios tomorrow will be equally motivating. See you then!
Hello Mr Vignali,
In your interview with bobby chiu sometime back i heard you interest in JC Leyendecker. Through Mr Leif Pengs Today's Inspiration blog i would like to link you to their photoset of JC Leyendecker on flickr. I do not know if you have these in your collection or not but their are 2 artworks in it that are halfway done and may provide some interesting insights on the legendary artist :

Hey, so -that- was your trip to Canada! Nice!! :)
It was great meeting you in Calgary! Being able to show you and Iain McCaig my sketchbook and get some of your invaluable wisdom passed my way was definitely the highlight of the weekend for me. It was really appreciated, and something I will not take for granted. Hope you can make it back for next year's Calgary Comic Expo!
It was a joy to have met you and listened to what you had to say at the panels. It was very insightful. My only regret was not having a portfolio with me, to show you and many others. I'll be more prepared the next time!
